Imagine the luxury of finding a boutique country accommodation especially designed for the discerning traveller, hidden away among native forest and exotic macadamia plantations with no visible neighbours, but just a 2-minute drive to quiet beaches. Thirty minutes south of Coffs Harbour, near Urunga and half way between Sydney and Brisbane, Aquarelle is a perfect destination to break your journey or to escape for a longer stay at reduced rates.
Aquarelle has two individual suites. Each suite has an upper level with its own private sitting room, breakfast table and folding glass doors to your balcony, so you can “bring the outdoors in”. Downstairs, your en-suite bedroom has sliding glass doors opening out onto gardens which meet the edge of tall eucalypt forests. Further down the hill, a water-lily covered lagoon completes the picture.
The king-bed suite is a spacious-but-warm zone, with two 3-seater sofas enabling guests to spread out in comfort to read or watch television.
The queen-bed suite is more intimate, with a 2-seater sofa in the sitting room.
Appointments in both suites are superb – upholstered sofas and chairs, crisp bed linen, fluffy towels and bath robes, heated towel rails, reverse-cycle air conditioning and soft lather-friendly rainwater.
Breakfast is a treat – fresh fruit juice, seasonal fruit with yoghurt, cereals, choice of two cooked courses prepared with the freshest local ingredients in season, coffee, tea, toast and home-made conserves. Guests with special dietary requirements should advise us when they book their accommodation, as we are very happy to cater for such requirements or preferences.
Parking is dry and protected under the building roofline, alongside an amenities room which has a full refrigerator, microwave oven, tea and coffee facilities, crockery, cutlery and glassware. A gas BBQ is available, so making a simple lunch or dinner is easy.
Local restaurants and cafes can be found in Urunga (6 minutes), Nambucca Heads (15 minutes) and Bellingen (20 minutes).
